Nicke's Pixlar is a passion project and a tribute to creativity and nostalgia.

It all really started in 2013 when I found my old Nintendo 8-bit in storage. This immediately led to years of manic game collecting and then on to making bead art from my favorite games. That's when I realized I wanted to pixel my own designs instead, which I could share with others.

After several books, online tutorials, and mistakes, I began to understand the basics of what pixel art entailed. So I started drawing my own pictures and figures and tried selling them at retro game conventions around Sweden. 

I started experimenting with several different bead brands and found that Artkal was the only one that worked for me. They have an enormous range of colors and shades and are perfect for my projects. I hope they will suit yours too!
